Alfa Romeo Racing driver Kimi Räikkönen visited a project by leading children’s rights organization Save the Children on the Monday after the Mexico GP. Kimi did handicrafts and took part in activities with vulnerable children from Mexico City as part of the work of Save the Children, our official charity partner.

After taking part in last weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix, Kimi visited an education project run by Save the Children in Mexico City. The program with the HEART approach (Healing and Education Through the Arts) aims to strengthen the capacity of children to face shocking emotional situations and contribute to the improvement of their emotional processes as well as increase their resilience.

Kimi took time to visit the project, to play with and to have individual conversations with the children. The Finn, himself a father of two, said afterwards: “Today I saw a lot of nice things because many kids don’t have this kind of education and a safe place to learn. The nicest thing is to see them smiling. It makes me proud to be a Save the Children charity partner through Sauber Motorsport and Alfa Romeo Racing”.
